Meet Emily

Where it began

Maplecreek started as a senior project at Clemson University. My major gave me wide-open creative freedom, if I could dream it, I just had to know how to bring it to life. So I made the Clemson Collage. I loved layering details, mixing memories, and creating pieces that felt like snapshots of a story. What began as a class assignment slowly turned into something bigger: a way to hold onto life's sweetest moments through art.

Today, Maplecreek creates digital collages of people and places - homes that shaped you, weddings that marked new beginnings, portraits that capture a season of life. Each piece is filled with the little things that matter most: the blooms along your campus sidewalk, the corner cafΓ© of your first date, the windows that made your childhood home feel like sunshine. These collages tell a story that feels personal, timeless, and full of heart.

And the name? Maplecreek comes from Maplecreek Drive, the street where I grew up. That little stretch of road was more than an address, it was roots, rhythm, and where the ordinary became extraordinary simply because it was home. It made me into someone who learned to identify the trees in my backyard and a sentimental daughter who deeply, deeply loves Maplecreek Drive.

Choosing this name felt like tying every piece of my work back to that beginning, a reminder that beauty often hides in the familiar, waiting to be cherished. To me, Maplecreek isn’t just a name for my business; it is the heartbeat of everything I create. It carries the nostalgia of childhood, the warmth of belonging, and the tender belief that even the simplest moments are worthy of becoming art.
